Teach First
BrightLemon was asked by Teach First to develop their existing Online Portal with the goal of integrating an online community. We built a community primarily to assist teachers in training by connecting them with qualified teachers who have already completed the scheme. In addition to this, the community strengthens the network of Teach First ambassadors who are no longer in teaching, but are still actively involved in addressing the vision.
BrightLemon delivered a web based platform that provides dynamic content & resources, social networking and community engagement tools, administration tools, reporting and analysis to the Teach First community and staff.
This development will ensure that not only will aspiring teachers on the Teach First program have easy access to a rich pool of resources and knowledge to enhance their learning, but that those who have completed the programme will also be able to stay engaged with the vision and increase their impact even beyond the classroom.

Responsive DesignTo maximise the potential of a community, contributions are key. To make it as hassle free as possible for users to contribute to the discussion posts, BrightLemon built the TeachFirst site using responsive design.
Community users can view the same site and its full functionality whether using a PC, tablet or mobile devices.

Community StrategyTeachFirst was previously using five separate online communities for their different user types. The new site unified all existing communities and imported the existing users across to it as well as allocating their user privileges. The site design was created and optimised in a way that would satisfy every user type. To do this, BrightLemon made a full audit of the existing Teach First site and established the user requirements in order to create a community. |
